The Art of the Brand

This summer, Circa Gallery is hosting an exhibit of local cattle brands and the history of local ranches. This exhibit spotlights a select group of ranches important to New Mexico. It is a chance to tell their story and promote the legacy of their brands. While there is no charge to participate, capacity is limited. We will include as many ranches as we can, but if you would like to guarantee your brand(s) are included please become an advertising sponsor ($300/brand)

The Brand: Art Show

July 3 - September 11, 2026

The purpose of this exhibit is to highlight the graphic design of cattle branding. A cattle brand is the perfect crossover between utility and design. We intend to showcase them to show their art as well as function and history. We are including cattle brands belonging to ranches in Guadalupe County. In total we need a maximum of 20 ranches. 

This exhibit will be promoted online and included in promotional materials for Santa Rosa’s Route 66 Centennial celebrations. It will coincide with the Guadalupe County Fair and we intend to have it included in their calendar of events.

Requirements:

We would love to feature your ranch in this exciting exhibit! Here is what we need from you:

  • We will need a digital copy of your cattle brand and permission to reproduce it for the gallery setting. We intend to print the brands and display them on the wall. We will also need permission to use the brand in promotional materials for the exhibit. 

  • A brief history of your brand. We would like to include a small write up about each ranch and the cattle brand that they use.
