Valentine’s Date Night: Paint Your Partner

Celebrate love and creativity with a hands-on, relaxed art class designed for couples but singles are welcome! Just bring a photo of the person (or pet?!) that you’d like to paint! Whether you’re a first-time painter or have some studio experience, this class guides you through painting a portrait of your partner in a supportive, fun atmosphere.

What to expect!

  • Guided instruction: Step-by-step demonstration covering composition, proportion, color mixing, and simple brush techniques to capture likeness and expression.

  • Partner-focused approach: You’ll work from life—your partner will pose while you paint—so you’ll learn observational skills and how to translate what you see into paint.

  • Materials provided: Canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, palettes, and aprons. You’re welcome to bring a favorite photo for reference if you prefer.

  • Friendly pace: Instruction emphasizes enjoyment over perfection. Small class size ensures individual attention.

  • Refreshments: Light snacks and beverages provided; bring your own favorite treat if you’d like.

Who it’s for?

  • Friends, partners, or spouses looking for a memorable date night

  • Anyone interested in trying portrait painting in a low-pressure setting!

Details:

  • Duration: 3 hours

  • Age: 21+

  • What to wear: Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting paint on

  • Accessibility: Please let us know in advance about any accessibility needs so we can accommodate you
